How were you discovered?
Networking, Just some serious heavy hitting, non-stop, balls to the wall networking. I knew this is what i wanted so i put myself out there and came across some amazing photographers and met a lot of faces. shout out to Potent TV, & Evangel Photography
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
It started with my passion for photography as an art and it soon transformed from me being behind the camera to being in-front of the camera.

Genetics, I was a Blueprint, my mother is the master mind behind the whole operation, she analyzed all the female family members on my fathers side, compared and contrasted it from all the females on hers. She made sure i didn’t lack in any department. I was truly designed. And since i do love to eat, to maintain my figure i have daily routine
Which Of Your Features Attract The Most Attention?
i hate to say it because it doesn’t define who i am but; my hourglass figure, that’s if I were speaking on terms of from a distance. Up close and personal it would be my eyes and lips.

Tell Us Some Of Your Long Term Goals…?
To establish myself as not only a model, but to be taken seriously as photographer. Somewhere down the line i would like do start working on building my own photography studio and getting that pushed out there. But i would really love to do something to give back to our youth, help keep them in school, off drugs and off the street. Give them hope, be able to show them that there is other ways to make it in life. That you don’t have to be slinging drugs on the street as long as you stay focus and stay in school.

I do have multiple ear piercings, a navel ring but thats about it. No tattoos, at least not yet.

i’m nervous almost before every shoot right up until the point my foot hits the stage, i walk on set, cameras are rolling and lights are flashing. at that very moment i cant really explain but something takes over and all the nervous energy jumps out my body and i walk out like i have a “S” on my chest with full confidence ready to give it all that i’ve got.

Back In Jr. High I had to be held down and forced into a dress for my prom, I’ve been a Tomboy all my life and in many ways i still am, i ride bikes, skateboard, roller blade, play video games, climb trees, write poetry, and depending on the mood i’m in i enjoy listening to alternative rock bands. I’m big on sports; Superbowl Sunday, fight night, NBA finals, when the game is on i demand food and no distraction. i often jump on-top of things while screaming obscenities at the screen. i’m into fast cars, scary movies and roller coasters. i like to just have fun and enjoy life.
Your idea of relaxing is?
Taking A Nice Long Shower, Then walking into a very neat and well organized room being able to just kick back, listen to feel good music and/or just writing, possibly blogging my life away on tumblr. Mainly A drama free environment with nothing but good vibes where i can creatively release would be my definition of relaxing.

I believe music has a big impact on not only my daily life, but performance level while working as well. I tend to carry my iTouch everywhere so i can get in my zone and block out the world and its many distractions. Music is what helps me relax and get ready before i perform or make any appearance at an event.

How were you discovered?
I wasn’t. I’ve always wanted to model and once the opportunity presented itself, I grabbed it and hit the ground running.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I grew up acting; theater and off broadway, and from a young age I’ve always wanted to take the step towards modeling. When my older brother started to act on TV soaps, commercials, and model, I saw it was possible to use my talents on stage in other areas I wanted to pursue. When you act you become the persona of the character and that is something I’m able to use to my advantage in modeling with various outfit and make-up changes.

God, My mom, & Africa are to credit for the curves =) I’m Nigerian and fortunate enough to have been born and raised there for the first 7 years of my life so I got to experience the delicious, spicy, and highly nutritous foods, my culture is famous for. Staying in shape to me simply means making the gym a consistent part of my routine so I work out 3-4 days a week

My face. I get complimented on my eyes and smile a lot. My butt also tends to turn heads

I honestly love them all. I enjoy being pushed to what I think is my creative limit only to discover a whole new part of myself.

People would be surprised to know that my favorite thing to do when I was younger aside from acting was participating in “midnight runs”, It was when my youth group would go around the various areas on nyc where the homeless were known to gather at night and give them food, clothing, & toiletries (esp to the women).

A recent trip to Jamaica with my girls revealed the true definition of relaxation; Me, on the beach, lounging in a floating beach chair, margarita in hand, & my favorite shades on.

Front Row, Lil Wayne …why? Because I have yet to hear one weezy song I didn’t love especially his classics from his teenage years.

It would have to be my most recent shoot, before the shoot, a special friend made quite the impact and that frame of mind kept me in an extremely erotic mood the duration of the shoot.

How has social networking influenced your career, is there a specific site you prefer most to interact with your followers and friends?
It has definitely had a positive effect on my career. Most of my networking is done online, so I rely on these websites as a way to gain followers and fans and of course to make money. I really like twitter. I have the most fun on there and also the most followers. I post a ton of pictures and I like the more frequent style of updating. I think it’s easier to interact with my fans and supporters on twitter as well. I try to respond to everyone!
How does a college graduate from Indiana wind up in Playboy?
Funny you should mention college…that is actually the reason I am a Playboy model (or a model at all). I went to Purdue University for school. While I was there, Playboy came for a casting call. I went to it because I had nothing to lose. They picked me out of many hopeful girls. I did the shoot and I LOVED it! I wanted to do more modeling right away. So I joined some networking sites, built up a portfolio, and here I am today. In the meantime I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Purdue and shot for Playboy a few more times.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I have wanted to be a model or an actress since I was a young girl. Growing up in the early 90’s, I saw the big name super models all over TV, magazines, catalogs, etc. and I wanted to be like them. Women like Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, and Nikki Taylor were amazing and so beautiful to me. Unfortunately, I grew older but did not grow taller, so I knew I’d never be on the runway like them. I’m glad there are other types of modeling I can do!
You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from and how do you stay in shape?
Why thank you! I actually used to be very skinny. I ran competitively all through High School and most of college. I was really good, so I didn’t care that I wasn’t curvy. But then I stopped running so much and started getting some curves, and I loved it. I then started modeling and got even curvier on purpose. I think it looks better for the types of modeling I do. I finally feel like a really sexy woman! I do some working out still, but I actually lose weight pretty easily because of my metabolism. I want to keep my curves, so no heavy cardio at the time! I do like squats though.
What about you makes you feel, and when do you feel you are your sexiest?
Like I said above, I really like my curves. Modeling has helped me embrace them and help me gain more confidence in general. I also think my smile is very sexy. There’s something alluring about a nice smile. I feel sexiest when I’m in a form fitting outfit and heels or nothing at all!
From reading your previous interviews it appears you enjoy being naked, but what kind of shoots do you enjoy the most?
I do enjoy being naked, for shoots and otherwise. I do like having at least some accessories when I’m shooting, however. I enjoy regular glamour shoots in sexy lingerie and swimwear (especially thongs). I also enjoy dressing up in latex and leather clothing. Pretty head shots are great too.
6 Appearances in Playboy as Mariela Henderson, can you tell us more about the experience shooting for Playboy, and tell us some of your other credits?
I’ve actually been in Playboy 7 times now, lol. 6 times in Special Editions and twice in the main magazine. I have also appeared online as Cyber Girl of the week (October 2009) and Cyber Girl Xtra (September 2010). Mariela Henderson is my Playboy name. They made us pick fake names when I first shot for them and was still at Purdue. I picked a random name because I didn’t know I’d be modeling more for Playboy or at all. I tried to change it when I shot for them the next time and people were starting to know me as Stephy C, but they like consistency (which I can understand). So now I specify that it is all me, the same person! The overall experience with Playboy has been amazing. I LOVE shooting for them and hope to do so again very soon. I have also been in other publications including Straight Stuntin’ Magazine, Gorgeous Magazine, 4pm Magazine, and multiple online features/magazines and coffee table books.
Outside of modeling and acting please tell us some of your long term goals….
If I ever get sick of modeling/acting, I want to go back to school and get my Master’s degree (maybe also in conjunction with modeling). I would also want to travel just to travel, especially overseas. Eventually I would like to settle down and maybe have kids as well(or at least some pug dogs, lol)
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Yes, I have 10 piercings and 1 tattoo. 9 of the piercings are in my ears and one is somewhere else. My tattoo is small and on the back of my left shoulder. It says “sweet” in Tsalagi (Cherokee language).
As a model you are expected to exude confidence and control, but have you ever been afraid/nervous before a shoot?
Of course! I was super nervous for my first shoot, especially because it was a big company AND I would be half naked. But it definitely turned out OK and they were very helpful and supportive. I also get nervous if I’m going to shoot with a really amazing photographer that I’ve never met before. I know their work is awesome, and I just want to make sure I bring my all as well so the images rock. I am shy at first but once the camera starts clicking I get into it and relax to create kick ass pictures!
People would be surprised to know that ___________?
I am really short. I put my stats right on my Model Mayhem portfolio, but everyone always thinks I’ll be taller. I do look taller in pictures though, I suppose. But I am only 5’2”!

With all of the traveling you’ve done can you tell us your favorite getaway spot?
Miami or L.A. I go to both places for work, but I always spend a few extra days so I can just relax and go out with my friends to clubs, the beaches, shopping, etc.
How does music impact your daily life and your work? Whats your favorite song of the moment?
I love music. I always listen to my iPod or iTunes when I’m online or planes, trains, etc. I’m not a fan of a lot of the stuff that is out on the radio nowadays, so I don’t listen to it very much. One song that I’ve been listening to a lot lately is Old Dirty Bastard feat. Killah Priest, RZA, MastaKilla, and Buddha Monk – “Snakes” (From Return to the 36 Chambers).
What traits or features are must haves for your mate?
Physically I like tall, dark, and handsome…lol. Also great teeth and a nice smile, a strong back, and a larger than average wang. I like a guy that has a great sense of humor, will be a dork with me, doesn’t take life too seriously, is open minded, has goals and ambition, takes care of himself, and has great personal hygiene.

I’ve gotten a lot of unwanted wangpics and videos…smh! Fellas, please don’t send them to my email unless I ask for them…you WILL KNOW if I want to see that, lol.
Who have you enjoyed working with the most? And name someone you would love to work with?
My two favorite photographers at the time are RhoPhotos (www.rhotographic.com and http://www.twitter.com/rhophotos) and TH Taylor (www.modelmayhem.com/thtphoto). They are both amazing people and photographers. I have a lot of fun working with them and we always get wonderful images. There are too many other photographers that I want to work with to list! I’m just going to keep striving and shooting until I can work with them all =P
Can you recall the most sensual shoot you’ve ever done and what made it so sexy?
I make all of my shoots sensual! But the most sensual are probably the ones I do for www.stephyc.com, especially the videos. I love feeling sexy and moving slowly while teasing and eventually removing articles of clothing. It is fun to be in front of the camera and know that the members will enjoy it just as much as I do!
Your notoriety increased tremendously from your appearances for Playboy, what advice can you offer to models who are considering modeling nude?
It definitely did. I would say to go for it if they are comfortable with themselves and their bodies. If they have any doubts, they shouldn’t do it until they are completely ready because pictures and stuff online doesn’t always go away. I would also say to hire a great photographer or shoot with someone they are comfortable with so they can get great images.

How were you discovered?
Well I wasn’t exactly “discovered” I took all sorts of lessons and classes since the age of 5 and my first modeling photo shoot I was 8 years old.
Observers can see from your portfolio the progression you have made as a model; can you tell us where you have improved and what you have learned?
You learn with every photo shoot you do and grow in your craft. Working with experienced photographers I’ve learned from them: better posing, positioning and facial expressions. Also you get higher quality and better images.
Your features are outstanding and natural, beautiful face, skin, shape, and just an overall unique look. I’m sure you get asked often to explain your heritage but where do the curves and features come from and how do you stay in shape?
I am a mixed Latina from a Cuban & Spanish father and Puerto Rican mother and born in the NYC. I guess a good combination of my parents genes made me! Lol. I used to stay in shape easily when I was a trained dancer. Now I go to the gym and work out my entire body several times a week. It’s important to take care of your body and to stay active.
How have you been able to balance your daily life and occupation with modeling and what keeps you grounded?
It’s a balancing act when you do a lot of different things like I do. All you can do is stay organized and professional and do the best you can. Just handle your business and prioritize.
What kind of modeling or work do you enjoy the most?
I think honestly for me my favorite was Pageantry and Promotional modeling because it involves all of you and how u present yourself and speak. But I enjoy everything actually, there’s pros and cons in everything.
Your resume continues to grow, please tell our readers some of the work you have completed and where they have seen and will see you?
I’ve come out in Sweets Magazine Issue #13, I have a 6 page spread there and I have come out in the first print edition of Gorgeous Magazine. I’ve done some more music videos such as Lloyd Banks ft. Lloyd “Any Girl”. I hope to finally get my personal website up: http://www.JeniceMarie.com. I have more magazine features coming out soon and to continue to bigger and better things!
You were the first model KUSH chose as a Kushion, the 1st guest ever on Kush Radio and our first collaboration with you turns out being a shoot for Sweets Mag, tell us what you think has made you a hot commodity?
Well first off Thank you and I am much honored to be your first! Aww I’m not such a hot commodity – yet, LOL. There are things that I am happy about what I have done and am doing but I have a ways to go. I’m proud of my accomplishments and that people are eager to work with me.
You are intelligent and beautiful and as a model expected to be confident, but can you tell us about a time during your modeling career when you were nervous and how you dealt with it?
I am always a little nervous! It’s to exude confidence even when internally you are a unsure, that’s only natural. You’ve just got to take a deep breath and do it and not be afraid or upset to hear a no or something you don’t want to. It happens many times in this game, you just got to take it with grace and move on to the next.
People would be surprised to know that ___________?
That I am a NJ state EMT.
What is the best advice you have received since you began your modeling career?
Don’t be afraid to listen and grow from constructive criticism. Learn from all of your experiences, good and the bad. And that you’ll hear a lot of No’s more then Yes’s, don’t let that get to you or take it too personal.
You’ve got front row tickets to see your favorite artist. Who is it and why?
It would have to be Lady Gaga. I am dying to see a live performance of hers. She is so creative and different. She embodies truly what it is to be an artist. I really like her as a person and performer.
Your favorite getaway spot?
Anywhere quiet desolate with a beach, many Caribbean islands I enjoy.
How does Hip Hop music impact your daily life and your work? What is your favorite song of the moment?
I love hip hop music and pretty much I like something in every genera of music. Music is the soundtrack of my life; it’s a big part of me. One of my favorite songs of the moment is Jamie Foxx ft. Drake “Fall for your type”.
24 hours to do whatever Jenice wants, wherever Jenice wants to be, where and what do we find you doing?
LOL, makes me think of the song “24 hours to live”. Hmmm I would run amuck and try to accomplish in that time what I want to before I die. I’d be mostly with friends and family saying goodbye and preparing for the next life.
When and what makes you feel beautiful and sexy?
Simply just being happy.
What’s the craziest thing a fan/admirer has done to get your attention?
I’ve had some wierdos harass me. I try to be nice but nothing to crazy or out of had thank God.
Who have you enjoyed working with the most? And name someone you would love to work with?
A photographer who I really enjoy working with is C.E Wiley. He’s been a great friend and mentor and most importantly he is very professional when it comes to working. I also really like the shoot I did with MJ Flix, I love his work and would definitely work with him again. I really admire and love Maya Guez’s art. I am dying to work with her, she is amazing. And there are many other photographers that I look forward to be working with in the future as well.
What should we expect to see you doing in the near future?
Who knows sky is the limit! I am open to whatever opportunities that come my way and to make the best of it!

How were you discovered?
I pretty much started networking and got into my first magazine which was gorgeous magazine in 2009. From then on, I started putting my face out there, setting up shoots to show the people what I was really bringing to the table, and that was that heat!!
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I always loved Tyra Banks but Kim Kardashian I adore because she is not the average stick skinny model that they only book in the modeling industry. She is well established and accomplished and more of a business woman. I love that!
You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from and how do you stay in shape?
Well I do my tae-bo off and on. I can’t live without my billy blanks!! lol
What kind of shoots/work do you enjoy the most?
I have been doing glamour because I love to be sexy and flirt, but I love High Fashion shoots and I’m working on that now as we speak. Those are going to be my fav’s. lol
What are some of your credits ?
Gorgeous Magazine, Shygirl Magazine, did runway for Ed Hardy, and right now im shooting for more magazines, getting to host different events, and really getting into a lot of different things.
Tell us some of your long term goals….
I am writing a book, “THE TEARS OF AN INMATES WIFE”, and hope to win emmy’s on that. I am also designing my own accessory line labeled “KissyFace Glam Collection” and I’m really hoping that becomes a success and branch out to more. I also do music but I will broadcast that in a later time. For the long term goal most of all, I am working hard on being a role model for my 2 lil mamma’s at home.

Yes lower back, and ears only, nothing freaky! lol
Your beauty can easily be intimidating, but have you ever been afraid before a shoot?
I’m not going to sit up here and be cocky! I am always nervous. I dont know why but when I actually start shooting I become confident and fine.

Since we last featured you on http://www.Iamkush.com you work rate has increased even more, what’s the secret to your success?
I just stay focused and worry about myself, unlike a lot of people who cant help but worry about their competition, to me…there is none. I do my best, how I want to do it, and that’s my key to success.
Do you enjoy photo shoots or the videos more?
I like switching it up evenly I guess. I think I can say I do a photo-shoot, then a video, then a photo-shoot, then a video, so on. I balance it out. Video shoots are all day most of the time but its cool to be able to watch yourself in the videos after-wards and be like, “damn, that’s me.” It makes you feel good when you’ve been the chosen one to be a featured model and then be able to see yourself and your work. Photo-shoots are also cool especially after making my first print cover and having people hit me up around the world like “I seen you on the cover at the store out here…,” …it’s just a good feeling.
How does being a Roseay Model affect your relationships with other models? Do they hate and do you even care?
It doesn’t affect my relationship with other models; you either like me or you don’t, and if you don’t…well I don’t care.
Your bio says that you have a degree and a child, how have you been able to balance real life vs. real work?
I actually have two degrees and yes, my son is 4 now. There’s no excuses, real women can balance everything and do it well if they really want to. My son and career come first and everyone who knows me, knows that.
What advice can you offer to young ladies looking to break into modeling?
Just figure out what you really want from this and what you’re aiming for, and then make sure you set yourself down the right path in this industry to get there.
You took part in the Ball With Vixens charity game, do you have a sports background?
I did, in fact, participate in this game. I played bball in high school believe it or not. I was a tomboy for awhile.
How were you discovered?
For the most part, after I did Fabolous’ “I’m Raw” video, other casting directors, promoters, and photographers hit me up from there.

It made me feel good about me for once.

Lol, I’m Sicilian…like the pizza: a little thicker than a regular =) I try to watch what I eat and work out when im not working…which is hard to do because I’m ALWAYS working in one of my job fields.

Your complexion is a lovely brown and there seems to be a shortage of ladies of your skin-tone in the industry, how has this affected your approach to modeling?
Us chocolate women have always had it a bit harder in the world, not only in this industry. I’m very comfortable & happy in my own skin, it just makes me work harder to make the world chocolate lovers 😉
Your story is unique because your first shot at print exposure was not only a major magazine but the cover! Tell us how you got there so quickly?
I actually submitted my pics to quite a few magazines and never received any feedback. So one day while on Myspace I saw that Dj Kay Slay was online. I wrote him a message stating that I liked the movement he has going on that gives amateur models a shot at their dreams. Surprisingly he responded back with a number & an email address. I called and we spoke about not receiving feedback & how i felt that maybe it was because of my darker skin-tone. At the time I only saw light skinned and Latina women getting heavy features in magazines. So after that conversation, I was told to email some images and I did. He felt I had potential so we set up a shoot with Frank Antonio. The shoot went pretty well and then I got the news that Straight Stuntin embraces all complexions…Chocolate was & is in, maybe not to all magazine but to this one. I’m eternally grateful for that opportunity.
What was it like after the cover dropped? When did you realize you were being recognized and how did you deal with that?
After the cover dropped things got a little weird because people that I haven’t spoke to in years started to resurface and they were the very same people who doubted me. I still live a normal life though. Most of the time when someone notices me it’s in the club. I look different during the day, I wear glasses when I work & dress down so no one really recognizes me that often.
The stereotype for Brooklyn girls is street smart,sassy,sexy and strong do you agree? And what did we leave out of your description?
Yes I hear that amongst other things! But I’m very versatile. I’m spunky, book-smart, goofy, laid-back & pretty humble.
How were you discovered?
I would say I was discovered through Myspace, but my follow up was on the Straight Stuntin Model Appreciation Annual Boat-ride.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I love all avenues of modeling from print, high fashion, runway, glam-our, and catalog, modeling as a whole is an art form I adore.
You have an amazing athletic toned hourglass figure, where do the curves come from and how do you stay in shape?
My mom was curvy even after she had me her body was still breathtaking….I have great genes but I do workout to make sure I stay toned. Thanks to Baseline Sport (Scott) the toughest trainer out shheeesh lol…
What kind of shoots/work do you enjoy the most?
I have fun with all my shoots really but artistic shoots interest me the most.
Models are made to be sexy, but what about Montana Rite makes you feel sexy the most?
The fact that I remain true to myself, I do what works for me…To me being yourself is as sexy as it gets!!!
Tell us some of your long term goals….
I would love to do voice-overs for cartoons, it’s a weird talent that I have! I also have a vision of starting a youth center for young girls ages 12-21.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Yes I have both. 4 sets of lips coming up my thigh, & another on the small of my back. As far as piercings, my tongue, navel, and nipples are done.

I think the only shoot I was extremely nervous doing was for my 1st publication, and mainly because I knew it would be distributed all around & it was my debut.

I love all types of music but Hip Hop is definitely a part of my everyday life. I listen to music EVERYDAY, my favorite song at the moment is Drake feat. Young Jeezy, “Unforgettable”.

To excite me you must stimulate my mind, and if you can capture that everything else will fall into place.
And of course what are some things that turn Montana Rite off?
My turn offs are nagging, bad hygiene & being disrespectful.

Lol the craziest thing was someone was leaving notes at my job every day for 2 months straight.

My most recent feature is in Stunnaz Magazine, which dropped in October look out for that. I’m also working on some skits for a demo to submit to an agent and hopefully get into the cartoon industry, and of course my website www.montanarite.com which also launched in October.
