Q: How did you get into modeling?
I was at an event in Pontiac,Michigan when I was approached to do a calendar, which eventually lead to other jobs and sprung off more and more as time passed. Then I realized how much I enjoy the job!
Q: What ads or videos have you appeared in?
I have been in several ads for Sex Appeal Magazine and on www.sexappealmagazine.com, I have been on flyers for several events, as well as a poster ad for a specialty drink featuring Sex Drive Energy Drink. I was featured in a music video for hip hop artist Vito Polizzi and was in the movie ‘West Bloomfield’.
Q: What type of shoots do you enjoy the most?
There is no shoot that I have done that I have not enjoyed! Different genres of modeling are so different that I love them all for different reasons making it really hard to pick one.
Q: What features of your attracts the most attention?
I would have to say its a tie between my butt, my legs and chest. (lol) Depends on the man I suppose.
Q: If you could pick a location to do a photo shoot where would you pick?
I really really REALLY want to shoot in Tahiti!!! I have tons of sexy ideas for a shoot in such a sexy place!!

Most people don’t know that I have obsessive compulsive tendencies. lol
Q: What type of men and or women are you attracted to?
I have a wonderful man, therefore I am not out looking, but to answer the question, I am attracted by positive, pro-active, & business minded people. Attraction does not need to be a physical thing…the people that you surround yourself with (friends, family, lovers etc) are all people that you are attracted to. If you are not a positive, ambitious person who does not understand business, its not for me.
Q: What would be your perfect photo shoot?
My Hubby and I are planning a REAL SEXY photo shoot together! That right there is my perfect photo shoot. Now if I could do that shoot in Tahiti OH GOD!!!! Lol! There would be nothing more perfect than the sexiest photo shoot I have ever done, with the love of my life and doing so in Tahiti! 😀

How has social networking influenced your career, is there a specific site you prefer most to interact with your followers and friends?
It has definitely had a positive effect on my career. Most of my networking is done online, so I rely on these websites as a way to gain followers and fans and of course to make money. I really like twitter. I have the most fun on there and also the most followers. I post a ton of pictures and I like the more frequent style of updating. I think it’s easier to interact with my fans and supporters on twitter as well. I try to respond to everyone!
How does a college graduate from Indiana wind up in Playboy?
Funny you should mention college…that is actually the reason I am a Playboy model (or a model at all). I went to Purdue University for school. While I was there, Playboy came for a casting call. I went to it because I had nothing to lose. They picked me out of many hopeful girls. I did the shoot and I LOVED it! I wanted to do more modeling right away. So I joined some networking sites, built up a portfolio, and here I am today. In the meantime I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Purdue and shot for Playboy a few more times.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I have wanted to be a model or an actress since I was a young girl. Growing up in the early 90’s, I saw the big name super models all over TV, magazines, catalogs, etc. and I wanted to be like them. Women like Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, and Nikki Taylor were amazing and so beautiful to me. Unfortunately, I grew older but did not grow taller, so I knew I’d never be on the runway like them. I’m glad there are other types of modeling I can do!
You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from and how do you stay in shape?
Why thank you! I actually used to be very skinny. I ran competitively all through High School and most of college. I was really good, so I didn’t care that I wasn’t curvy. But then I stopped running so much and started getting some curves, and I loved it. I then started modeling and got even curvier on purpose. I think it looks better for the types of modeling I do. I finally feel like a really sexy woman! I do some working out still, but I actually lose weight pretty easily because of my metabolism. I want to keep my curves, so no heavy cardio at the time! I do like squats though.
What about you makes you feel, and when do you feel you are your sexiest?
Like I said above, I really like my curves. Modeling has helped me embrace them and help me gain more confidence in general. I also think my smile is very sexy. There’s something alluring about a nice smile. I feel sexiest when I’m in a form fitting outfit and heels or nothing at all!
From reading your previous interviews it appears you enjoy being naked, but what kind of shoots do you enjoy the most?
I do enjoy being naked, for shoots and otherwise. I do like having at least some accessories when I’m shooting, however. I enjoy regular glamour shoots in sexy lingerie and swimwear (especially thongs). I also enjoy dressing up in latex and leather clothing. Pretty head shots are great too.
6 Appearances in Playboy as Mariela Henderson, can you tell us more about the experience shooting for Playboy, and tell us some of your other credits?
I’ve actually been in Playboy 7 times now, lol. 6 times in Special Editions and twice in the main magazine. I have also appeared online as Cyber Girl of the week (October 2009) and Cyber Girl Xtra (September 2010). Mariela Henderson is my Playboy name. They made us pick fake names when I first shot for them and was still at Purdue. I picked a random name because I didn’t know I’d be modeling more for Playboy or at all. I tried to change it when I shot for them the next time and people were starting to know me as Stephy C, but they like consistency (which I can understand). So now I specify that it is all me, the same person! The overall experience with Playboy has been amazing. I LOVE shooting for them and hope to do so again very soon. I have also been in other publications including Straight Stuntin’ Magazine, Gorgeous Magazine, 4pm Magazine, and multiple online features/magazines and coffee table books.
Outside of modeling and acting please tell us some of your long term goals….
If I ever get sick of modeling/acting, I want to go back to school and get my Master’s degree (maybe also in conjunction with modeling). I would also want to travel just to travel, especially overseas. Eventually I would like to settle down and maybe have kids as well(or at least some pug dogs, lol)
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Yes, I have 10 piercings and 1 tattoo. 9 of the piercings are in my ears and one is somewhere else. My tattoo is small and on the back of my left shoulder. It says “sweet” in Tsalagi (Cherokee language).
As a model you are expected to exude confidence and control, but have you ever been afraid/nervous before a shoot?
Of course! I was super nervous for my first shoot, especially because it was a big company AND I would be half naked. But it definitely turned out OK and they were very helpful and supportive. I also get nervous if I’m going to shoot with a really amazing photographer that I’ve never met before. I know their work is awesome, and I just want to make sure I bring my all as well so the images rock. I am shy at first but once the camera starts clicking I get into it and relax to create kick ass pictures!
People would be surprised to know that ___________?
I am really short. I put my stats right on my Model Mayhem portfolio, but everyone always thinks I’ll be taller. I do look taller in pictures though, I suppose. But I am only 5’2”!

Outkast! I love their music (together and separately) and I just know they would put on a great show. 2nd choice would be Wu-Tang when ODB was still alive (R.I.P.)
With all of the traveling you’ve done can you tell us your favorite getaway spot?
Miami or L.A. I go to both places for work, but I always spend a few extra days so I can just relax and go out with my friends to clubs, the beaches, shopping, etc.
How does music impact your daily life and your work? Whats your favorite song of the moment?
I love music. I always listen to my iPod or iTunes when I’m online or planes, trains, etc. I’m not a fan of a lot of the stuff that is out on the radio nowadays, so I don’t listen to it very much. One song that I’ve been listening to a lot lately is Old Dirty Bastard feat. Killah Priest, RZA, MastaKilla, and Buddha Monk – “Snakes” (From Return to the 36 Chambers).
What traits or features are must haves for your mate?
Physically I like tall, dark, and handsome…lol. Also great teeth and a nice smile, a strong back, and a larger than average wang. I like a guy that has a great sense of humor, will be a dork with me, doesn’t take life too seriously, is open minded, has goals and ambition, takes care of himself, and has great personal hygiene.
What are the some of the biggest no-no’s?
A closed mind, ignorance and/or stupidity and unwillingness to learn/understand things, no sense of humor, small wangs, bad breath, B.O., laziness, hates animals
What’s the craziest thing a fan/admirer has done to get your attention?

Who have you enjoyed working with the most? And name someone you would love to work with?
My two favorite photographers at the time are RhoPhotos (www.rhotographic.com and http://www.twitter.com/rhophotos) and TH Taylor (www.modelmayhem.com/thtphoto). They are both amazing people and photographers. I have a lot of fun working with them and we always get wonderful images. There are too many other photographers that I want to work with to list! I’m just going to keep striving and shooting until I can work with them all =P
Can you recall the most sensual shoot you’ve ever done and what made it so sexy?
I make all of my shoots sensual! But the most sensual are probably the ones I do for www.stephyc.com, especially the videos. I love feeling sexy and moving slowly while teasing and eventually removing articles of clothing. It is fun to be in front of the camera and know that the members will enjoy it just as much as I do!
Your notoriety increased tremendously from your appearances for Playboy, what advice can you offer to models who are considering modeling nude?
It definitely did. I would say to go for it if they are comfortable with themselves and their bodies. If they have any doubts, they shouldn’t do it until they are completely ready because pictures and stuff online doesn’t always go away. I would also say to hire a great photographer or shoot with someone they are comfortable with so they can get great images.

I’m super Cuban and I can’t even lie about it. From the way I walk to the way I talk you know ” I’m fucking Cuban”. I love being Cuban because I really think it gives me like a license to do whatever I want and my excuse is always: ” what can I do I’m Cuban”. I’m thick and I embrace it. I don’t have anything against smaller girls but I’m used to females looking like me not like 13 year old girls. I was so frustrated in my earlier years because I wanted to be a woman and I was lil and skinny so I got some huge gifts and I start eating more rice And beans and i developed the ass that I’m so proud of today. How were you discovered?
Two years ago 8/28/09 to be exact I did my first movie. Which I hated because I didn’t have a connection with the guy and the producer kept telling me to scream and I wasn’t feeling shit so why should I scream??? My scene, even though it sucked, was out and people loved it. A Miami radio station contacted me and interviewed me. I did great and a tv show called me and interviewed me on October 6 2009, I remember because that is my dads birthday. I got to the tv show and the first thing they say is, oh you are bigger than the regular porn girl, I said yes I am and that’s why I’m here, I bounce my tetas up and down and they start laughing. I was on the show for one hour and they loved me so much that they called me the next day and gave me a job as a co-host. I stayed on that show for one year and I moved to the news after that. Well my sports blog (www.iheartamile.blogspot.com) is coming along nicely. I graduated in May with a bachelor’s in English with a minor in Media Broadcasting, so writing is just natural for me. I do want to pursue a career in writing… no tell-all crap. Stories of triumph and victory, many articles and/or stories that can help one, if not many. That’s why I love sports-writing so much. I also do an advice column on Ustream and for my hometown newspaper.
How does Hip Hop music impact your daily life and your work? Whats your favorite song of the moment?
Not only Hip Hop music but ALL music is such an impact to our lives. When I am happy, I listen to music. Whenever I am sadden by any situation there is music to console me. But hip-hop mostly expresses my deepest pain and joys. Yet hip-hop has opened my eyes on society in general. I come from a middle-class military family so of course, what I hear in the music is not what I seen, but I have come to experience.
Can you tell us some of your turn ons and what features/traits attract you to (men/women)?

How were you discovered?
I was discovered through a local sports radio station in Denver. They were looking for promotional models. I entered a contest and was selected.
What inspired you to pursue modeling? And what obstacles have you dealt with since you began?
I’ve always wanted to model, but it was difficult because there was one category of modeling which was high fashion modeling. For High Fashion Modeling, you have to be both tall and very lean. So I never really pursued it. Then later down the line I began to see models with curves getting lead roles in music videos, covers in magazines, and I though maybe I can do this. An obstacle that I have to deal with is making sure that I am in shape. People think that just because you have a big butt, or a large chest that you can do urban glamor modeling. That is NOT true. You still have to be in shape. It’s hard work!
You have a gorgeous face and an outstanding figure, where do your curves and features come from and how do you stay in shape?
Thank you! My curves come from my mother’s side of the family. All of the women are very voluptuous and curvy. My features are a cross between my African American and Hispanic background. I stay in shape by working out 4-5 days a week. I do a lot of running/cardio and weight training. I also try to watch what I eat.
Which of your features attract the most attention?
That’s a tough one, but I get more comments about my smile than any other physical feature.
What kind of shoots/work do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy photo shoots outdoors with a theme. I love the outdoors because nothing captures true beauty like natural light.

Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so what do your tattoos mean?
Yes I do I have a few piercings and 3 tattoos. One of my tattoo is my name. the others are just designs. Looking to get one more!
Models are taught to exude confidence and composure, but have you ever been afraid or nervous before a shoot?
Sometimes before a shoot I may get a little nervous especially if I am working with a new photographer. However as soon as I step in from of that camera, it all just goes away. I’m like a light switch.

What advice can you offer to a young lady looking to follow in your footsteps?
I would say you have to have a plan. Figure out what exactly you are trying to accomplish in this business in the long run. Never forget that this is a business, so I suggest taking some time to learn as much as you can about it.

I feel that Urban Glamor modeling and Hip Hop go Hand in Hand. This industry was built on Hip Hop. My favorite Hip Hop song of the moment is “Fancy” By Drake f/T.I. and Swizz Beatz
What are your turnons?
Confidence, a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, intelligence, and spirituality. Also being active (working out, playing recreational sports etc) and has strong family values. All Major turnons!
What are your turnoffs?
I can not stand rudeness. I am turned off by liars, jealousy and insecurity, body odor and bad breath.
What’s the craziest thing a fan has done to get your attention?
It’s pretty gross so I’d rather not say! LOL

I can not just pin point one person so I’ll name a few. I always enjoy working with James Rich, Nureign, Da RealSafado,and Torriam. Wow and there are so many more. A few people I would love to work with are Facet Studios, Del Anthony, Slick Force, and Mya Guez.
I’ve noticed that modeling makes many ladies very image conscious, how do you maintain your confidence through it all?
The key to my confidence is that I truly know who I am. I also surround myself with positive and honest people that have my best interest at heart. That makes all the difference in the world.
What should we expect to see you doing in the near future?
I will be doing more magazine features, some DVD projects, hosting events across the country, and much much more! The sky is the limit! :o)

How were you discovered?
I did a photo shoot, posted the pictures online and from then on I started to network with people and took a stronger interest in modeling.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
It’s something I have always had a passion for, one of those things you say you want to do, yet never actually do it. It wasn’t until about a year in ago that I decided to take action and see where it can take me.

why thank you 🙂 I try to go to the gym and avoid eating junk food. keyword “try” lol doesn’t always work out that way. The best way for me to stay in shape is dancing, something I have fun and actually enjoy doing.

Definitely the Dominican Republic, I live in NY yet I hate the cold in the D.R it’s summer all year long, And I love the beaches and sunny days.

The most sensual shoot i’ve done thus far, has to be one of my most recent ones. it was an implied black and white shoot, what made it so sexy was how it was natural not trying to force myself to be sexy.

How were you discovered?
I first started modeling as an infant and have been off and on since then! My friends always said I should go to the urban route of modeling because IM so thick, so I took their advice two months ago and started modeling the Urban way! I discovered myself actually.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I grew up around all women in a beauty salon-so Ive always been in front of the mirror perfecting beauty. Modeling comes natural to me, so its really easy to pursue. My two inspirations are Anna Nicole and Marilyn Monroe, their beauty is so sexy yet classy-thats what I was to perceive myself as in the industry. Which makes me different then the rest!
You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from and how do you stay in shape?
Ive always been curvy, never below a size 9 even in high school. I dance at Broadway Dance Center-ballet,tap,jazz,hip hop,modern,etc. I also go to the gym and do weight training. To be honest with you I HATE THE GYM, but I force myself to go. My body stays thick, I love food!
Which of your features attract the most attention?
Id have to say my teal eyes, and my “wholly” are the biggest features-oh yea and my 38 D boobs too!
What kind of shoots/work do you enjoy the most?
I love location shoots, its fun to be out of the studio and be creative. I just shoot with TSJ STUDIOS in up state NY, and we did a ton of location shots. we had a blast outside with the hose, in the garden, and by this fence that looked like I was back home in Maine!
When did you realize that you had what it takes and how has the response been so far to your work?
I’ve always felt gorgeous inside and out, and I knew I was different then most girls in my high school. People always asked me if I modeled or acted, so I guess Ive realized it for a long time now. The response to my modeling has been great! I have a lot of fans in Maine, my home state, which makes me so happy! I cant wait to gain more fans and reach out to girls-so they know that you can be curvy and beautiful!

I still to this day get butterflies before shooting! Its not like Im afraid its just an exciting feeling that goes throughout my body. I don’t like to feel intimidated ever!

I grew up in the woods-hunting, fishing, four wheeling, mudding, ski-doing, milking cows, doing chores at the farm, etc. I’m a tomboy but very much so a girly girl. Guys can get scared of that sometimes, yes I have guns lol.

Being on a rocking chair with a cup of coffee and a great book by the ocean…naked!

I love Nicki Minaj and Drake. They are my two favorite artists at the moment, went to see them two months ago-and going to see Drake next month in NYC. Their lyrics just get to me, and I love their fashion sense.

Florida-my family owns a time share there-Ive been going every year since I was two years old. Its in Treasure Island Florida, right on the beach-alot of old people, so its pretty quite an relaxing…and somewhere no one would expect me to be. love it there.

Ive loved hip hop music and lifestyle since I was 12 years old, I was a lot different then most girls in Maine. I always listened to it, and I couldn’t go day to day without my ipod! My favorite song at the moment is “baddest bitch” by Nicki Minaj, it gets me fired up for the day and makes your confidence go up!
What are your turnons?
I love it when guys choke me and take advantage of me-its the BIGGEST turn on ever! most cant handle me so they feel scared lol. a man who can’t control me is a turnoff to me.

I HATEEEE it when guys just lay there, do something! geese. a non sexual turn off is guys without manners! i need a man who has great manners, because I had to take etiquette classes-so it just bugs me! Id leave a date if the guys chews with his mouth open or starts licking his fingers, ew!

The most sensual shoot you’ve ever done and what made it so sexy?
I just did this shoot with TSJ STUDIOS inside on a black drop, with all the lights out- candles lit-and this lamp light was very dim-so overtime he took a shot in between would go dark. it was so sexy and hot, mmm! didn’t want to stop, felt the sexiest ever!
What should we expect to see you doing in the near future?
My website is going to launch soon, cant wait for my dream site to happen! Im also going to be in Stunnaz, Sweets, and Bubble Shake Mags coming out this fall! I just shot a video with Red Cafe as well…Much more to come!

You are a Southern Belle, what was it like growing up where women with curves are celebrated?
Growing up in Alabama, It wasn’t unusual to see women shaped like myself. Even the women who were more on the smaller side had hips and a little booty on em. I don’t know what’s in the water around here.
And how does it compare to your experiences in the industry?
It is absolutely the same. The ridicule, the hate, the praise, the attention. It’s a blessing and a curse.
How do you feel about young ladies augmenting their features artificially to compete ?
It’s like bringing a gun to a fist fight. It give us natural women a bad name. The time I could be spending networking and growing my fan base, I have to spend defending whether my body is real or not because these ‘plastics’ have muddied the waters to the point where people can’t see the truth anymore. The game can’t go anywhere but downhill for the simple fact that all of the women that are thinking about entering this industry will assume that you have to have a 36-25-50 measurement to make it big and take drastic measures to do so. Being pretty isn’t enough anymore. Being yourself isn’t an option anymore. It’s sad; not to mention its unhealthy. However, it makes me work even harder to prove to them that all of the ‘extra’ that they put into making us ‘naturals’ seem obsolete is hopeless. They won’t win.

Outside of modeling and your website what are your interests?
I have my hands in so much now, I don’t remember what I used to do for fun anymore. I write for other magazines, Editor-In-Chief of two other print publications, working on my own publications, work for other websites, not to mention the networking…I’ll have fun in a few years when I can sit back and watch my money make money.
How were you discovered?
MySpace. Money Moses of http://www.royalthickness.com told me to build a portfolio, find a professional photographer and network. I did just that. On the modeling networking site, a then up-and-coming magazine, Skintones Magazine asked for photos and before I knew it, I was published. The rest is history.
What inspired you to pursue modeling?
I never planned on doing this. It just…fell into my lap. My fans inspire me to stay in the game though.
You have an outstanding hourglass figure, where do the curves come from?
I’ve been shaped like this since I was little. I remember hearing at least once a week while I was growing up; “You are gonna have trouble with this one.” or “She got those hips!” and “Look at that booty and those thighs!” So, I’ll blame it on my genes and the Collard greens, Cornbread,Pig Feet, Sweet Tea. I just do what I need to do to maintain and keep it this way now.

It’s simple. I don’t want to ever have to work anymore by the time I turn 28. So, I am working hard right now to make sure my name is established so it makes its own money. Modeling, writing, my publications. I want ‘Emily Camille’ to be associated among various entities so I can take the time to be a wife and a mommy and be there for my family.

What’s the craziest thing a fan has done to get your attention?
I don’t know where to begin. My fans don’t know where the ‘happy medium’ is. Its either extreme or nothing. Showing up to my home, showing up at the store that I’m in and buying anything I want, sending flowers, money…I had to stop all of that. I’ve learned that if you take one thing from them that you are forever indebted to them. Had one guy said he would kill himself if I didn’t respond. Sooooo, the online support is enough!
